The book

It's the weekend and Dylan can't wait to share Daddy's special recipe with his friend Drew.  Drew is not sure about Dylan's dad's special treat - it's a vegetable pie and he wonders if he'll like it. Dylan and Drew have questions and both learn about why the pie is good for them.  After adding the new ingredients to the recipe, they are both pleasantly surprised that a vegetable pie could taste so good.

Now Dylan and Drew both love Daddy's Greek Potato Pie - it's a healthy special treat!  Trying to please a picky eater? Pick up Daddy's Greek Potato Pie, and you're one step closer to doing so!

Daddy's Greek Potato Pie is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Loot, Kalahari in South Africa and is also available at your favorite specialty shop.

I love books that inspire young people to be creative and take risks! Daddy's Greek Potato Pie is one of these books. It is not only filled with great information regarding nutrition and healthy eating, but it also encourages kids to be creative and improvise in the kitchen. We live in a world filled with kids who are often unimaginitive when it comes to eating, always saying "there's nothing to eat in there!" Daddy's Greek Potato Pie shows that we parents can be creative and that our children can throw ingredients together and have fun too. I can't wait to try this recipe with my kids!

Ms. Minton,

What great nutrition presentations today for grades PreK– 5.  The sessions were highly interactive and allowed for much student engagement.  We just thank you so very, very much.   Again, the LA Spencer Nutrition Advisory Council would like to communicate our appreciation to you.  Oh, by the way, after the last group had lunch, a 2nd grader came up to me and said, “Ms. James, I ate healthy today”.  I said, Great, what did you eat?  He gladly responded, “I ate my apple”.  You made a difference today Ms. Minton!!!!

My four-year-old toddler LOVES this book!!! It holds his attention. The story is funny and educational and my son enjoys reading it over and over. Given that he's such a picky eater, it's a useful tool in my arsenal to emphasize the importance of healthy eating. And since he relates to the characters, he responds positively to the message. He's ready to bake a greek potato pie himself!
